A.Davis Guitars is the dream manifest of luthier, Arthur Strum Davis and business adventurer, Carl Giese. Through their combined willingness to search for the best way to build and distribute the finest musical instrument -the guitar- they have found friendship and more.
In 1999, Carl was introduced to Art by a guitar hunting friend of his. While Art was "building a better mousetrap" and trying to keep the door open, Carl was looking for something more than "success in business". A symbiosis was quickly formed to build a product and support system that is both successful and enjoyable for all.
Using the guitar as a calling card, Carl has made acquaintances and friends some of the best artists, engineers, technicians and their families. Input recieved from musicians and management to support staff, is quickly assimilated into guitar production. This, combined with Art's 30+ years of technical knowledge and skill, allows us to produce some of the finest acoustic guitars in history.
The A.Davis story cannot be complete without acknowledgement of our benefactors. Our families and friends are important to us and their support is something we shall never take for granted. At the center of A.Davis Guitars are the artists, their management and support crews, the singer/songwriters and every day guitar players that tell us quickly when things aren't right and thank us generously when they are. Without them letting us into their hearts and minds, and homes, we wouldn't have a chance. Thank you all so much.
